Frequently Asked Questions
A: No. The DFM review is completely free for qualified projects. There is no minimum order commitment and no obligation to proceed with production after receiving the DFM report and quote. We invest in the DFM review because it is the best way to demonstrate our engineering capability to new customers.
A: Yes, without exception. We sign a Mutual NDA before opening any CAD files, technical drawings, or project specifications. NDA execution typically takes less than 2 hours. We can use our standard NDA template or accept your company’s preferred NDA format. No files are reviewed until the NDA is fully executed by both parties.
A: 3D STEP or STP files are preferred as they allow the most thorough analysis. DFM review validates whether your existing design can be manufactured consistently at production scale. We review your completed 3D design — we do not create designs from scratch.
A: After DFM approval, we issue a formal quotation covering tooling investment, unit pricing at your specified volume, and production lead time. Once you approve the quotation and confirm the tooling deposit, mold engineering begins.
T1 prototype samples are typically delivered in 7–14 business days from tooling deposit confirmation. Production begins after T1 approval.
